Lyle Marion Cain, of St. Charles, MO, passed away Monday, August 17, 2026 at the age of 99.

Beloved husband of the late Joan C. Cain; cherished son of the late Maurice and Nannie Cain; devoted father of Steven (Chris) Cain and Cynthia Cain; loving grandfather of Arianna Kidder, Alex Schmitz, Heather Koenig, Michael (Chelsey Newhauser) Kloeppel and Steven (Micheala) McCoy; treasured great-grandfather of Jamie Koenig, James Koenig and Eleanor Schmitz; Lyle is preceded in death by his brothers, Floyd Cain, Russell Cain, Raymond Cain, Henry Cain; sisters Sylvia, Mable, Mary, Roberta, Margaret and his cherished pet Sookie.

Lyle proudly and honorably served in the United States Army during World War II. He was especially honored to participate in the Honor Flight in 2019.

Lyle was a devoted family man, a true gentleman with a heart of gold, and someone who always had a smile on his face. He cherished spending time with his family and his beloved dog, Sookie.

Memorials may be made in Lyle's name to St. Charles County Humane Society, Pets for Vets or Honor Flight Network.
