Lori Mary Adams

Jun 18, 1963 — Aug 22, 2026

Lori Mary (Rykiel) Adams, age 63, passed away peacefully in Atlanta, Georgia, on August 22nd, 2026.

Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Lori spent her childhood in Brillion, Wisconsin before embarking on a life journey that took her to various cities across the United States. Eventually settling in the St. Louis area, she worked as a paramedic for the St. Charles County Ambulance District. Lori continued her education earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from William Woods University. Through her leadership, dedication, and composure she rose to the rank of Shift Supervisor at SCCAD. Even after stepping away from EMS, she continued her lifelong dedication to caring for others through her work in healthcare.

While Lori built a meaningful career in service, being a mother was her ultimate joy, and she considered raising her daughter, Hannah, to be her greatest accomplishment. Lori was a fiercely independent woman with an extraordinary spirit; the most remarkably positive person to those who knew her. Her capacity for love, caring, and compassion was boundless. Beyond her human family, Lori felt a deep passion and moral obligation toward caring for animals, and she found constant peace and creative outlet in landscaping and gardening.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Alan; her cherished daughter, Hannah, and her partner Austin Cahill; her father-in-law, Gene Adams; her sister and brother-in-law, Robin and Charlie Pilla; and her nephews, Ben and Tyson.
