On Friday, January 16, 2026, Lolita “Lee” B. Cavender, nee Grobe passed away. She was proceeded in death by her parents and her sister.

Lolita was born on April 29, 1942 to Herbert and Louise Grobe (Lammers) in St. Louis, Missouri and had an older sister, Wanda Morales who had two sons, Victor and Marco.

She is survived by her children and grandchildren: her son Dominic D. Bezzole and his wife Lisa, and her son Angelo D. Bezzole and his wife Sammie and their two children Josephine and Niko. She is also survived by her 20+ year partner, Edmund C. Johnson.

Lolita attended and graduated from the Francis Howell school district. She later worked for the Missouri American Water Company for 25 years where she displayed a strong work ethic and was part of a close knit, collaborative team, many who were dear friends.

She enjoyed bowling, golf and bike riding exploring the full Katy Trail. She loved playing cards with her friends and planting outside flowers. She enjoyed both activities to an advanced age.

Lolita possessed a strong independent spirit while also being a great listener and supporter. She cultivated many friends whom she cherished, with some relationships lasting decades. She also had a great sense of humor, even being a bit of a prankster at times.

Lee was especially focused on her family, dedicated, committed and loving. She was particularly proud of raising her boys, helping to mold the men that they are today. She extended that same devotion and commitment to her grandchildren and daughters in law. In her final years, she was blessed to share her life with Ed who held those same values and commitments to the family.

Her selfless, kind and caring personality was endearing to all who knew and loved her. She was blessed with many loving and dear friends and enjoyed a rich and full life.
