Lois Dorothy Kassner (nee Lois D. Fisher), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Friday, May 9, 2025 at the age of 88. Beloved wife of Robert Kassner; cherished daughter of the late August and Eleanor Fisher; devoted mother of Lori Jean (Corey) Broadus, Holly Hickman and Kristopher Kassner; loving grandmother of Haley (Kurt) Sigler; treasured great-grandmother of Lily Jean Sigler.

Lois was married to the love of her life, Robert, for nearly 60 years. Together, they shared a passion for travel, enjoying at least 65 cruises over the years. Their favorite destination was Australia. They traveled extensively across Europe and the Southern Caribbean.

Born in 1936 in Chicago, Illinois, Lois was the daughter of August and Eleanor Fisher. She attended school in the city and graduated from Kelvin Park High School, where she excelled in shorthand—a skill she became well known for.

Lois was a remarkable woman—feisty, independent, strong, intelligent, and loving, with a sharp wit and wonderful sense of humor. She approached life with determination and truly could accomplish anything she set her mind to.

In her free time, Lois enjoyed playing Bridge with her friends and pursuing her many creative hobbies, including crafting, ceramics, and tole painting.
