Lloyd “Butch” E. VanHoozier, of Moscow Mills, MO, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at the age of 72. Loving son of the late Arthur and Barbara VanHoozier. Beloved husband of Gale VanHoozier. Cherished father of Jason (Angie) VanHoozier, Amber (Matthew) Hughs, and Candice (Christopher) Burke. Dear grandfather of Jacob VanHoozier, Alyssa VanHoozier, Autumn Hughs, Olivia Burke, Jessica Ramsour, Brandy Russell, Mandy (Brandon) Harris, Gunther Hughs, Dylan Hughs, Blake Hughs; great grandfather of Kendyll Conoyer, Ryder Conoyer, Cohen Doak and Lela Harris. Half-brother of Leroy (Chrissy) Fry, Jr., and Mary (fiancé Jacob) Fry. He had many nieces and nephews. Butch is preceded in death by his grandchild Danielle Marie.
Butch was a jack of all trades, although he retired as an industrial electrician. He was known for tinkering with mechanics, working on everyone’s cars, and figuring things out. A lover of nature, he enjoyed fishing and deer hunting, but most of all, he loved sitting on the patio with his wife, Gale, and his dog, Ruby. In his free time, he enjoyed reading Western novels. Butch was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Butch's name to the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association.
