Linda Faye McCombs

Linda McCombs, of Lake St. Louis, MO, passed away May 12, 2026. Born in Ava, Missouri, she was the eldest of six children born to Bill and Faye Spindler. On April 2, 1961, Linda married Mike McCombs, her truest partner who matched her enthusiasm for life. They were the proud parents of Kelly and Kara. Linda was the consummate matriarch to grandson Jared (daughter Amelia); Kara's husband Matt Henke; and grandchildren Khia, Zaden, Sarah, and Hannah. Linda believed all children were precious gifts, and she created a world where her family always felt loved, cherished and secure. Linda and Mike embraced the lake life they built together; a half-century defined by a close-knit community and celebrated lake events. She also loved traveling and annual vacations with family and friends. Linda retired as a Vice President for Drury Hotels after 38 years of dedicated service. After retirement, she continued consulting on special projects. She loved her work and valued the friendships she made through the years. Linda enjoyed a long, exciting life with vibrant positivity and genuine happiness, right up to her final days. She worked, played, and loved with all her heart. Her spirit resides in ours forever.
