Lina Verna Chalk

Lina Verna Chalk (nee Beardsley), of St. Peters, MO, passed away Friday, April 25, 2025, at the age of 95. Beloved wife of the late John Chalk; cherished daughter of the late Edward and Hettie Beardsley; devoted mother of Regina (Jerry) Clubb, Johnny (Anita) Chalk, Debra (Paul) Giesler, Linda (Vern) Lenzini; loving grandmother of Felicia (Michael) Bradley, Elissa (Clay) Turner, Tracy (Katie) Clubb, Kelly Clubb, Crystal (Tim) Schuster, David Giesler, Tami (James) Fawcett, Dominique Lenzini, and Melanie Searan; treasured great grandmother of Amanda Harvey, Austin Bradley, Andrew Bradley, Jordan Turner, Brittany Turner, Molly Schuster, Maggie Schuster, Marley Schuster, Lexi (Konner Fairall) Barnes, Taylor Fawcett, Edward Fawcett, Emily, Evelyn, Kyle, and great-great grandmother of Logan, Theodore, and Azalea. Lina was also preceded in death by her six dear siblings, four sisters, Darlene Riddle, Bonnie Partell, Frances Morgan, Margaret Beardsley, and two brothers, Bobby (Dean-living) Beardsley, and James Beardsley.

Lina and her husband, John, shared 68 wonderful years of marriage, during which they enjoyed traveling, dining, and raising their children. A sweet and quiet woman, Lina loved quilting, cooking and trying new recipes, baking, doing arts and crafts—especially ceramics—and cheering on the Cardinals. She enjoyed hosting gatherings, having her family nearby, working puzzles, and bird watching. A natural caretaker with a deep love for children, Lina worked in the nursery at her church and was always ready to help anyone in need. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Memorials may be made in Lina's name to the American Cancer Society.
