Lewis Samuel Tidd Jr., of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2026, at the age of 88. Beloved husband of the late Dolores P. Tidd; cherished son of the late Lewis, Sr. and Mamie Lou Tidd; devoted father of Debora (Tim) Coward and Cynthia (Jim) Anderson; loving grandfather of Adam (Rita Singer) Coward, Ben (Julia Sanders) Coward, Allyssa (Hugh Watkins) Anderson, Derek (Caroline Koenig) Anderson, and Ally (Brian) Riddle; great-grandfather of Olwen Coward and Annalise Coward; dear brother of Janet (Dave) Barrett, David (Judy) Tidd; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Lewis is also preceded in death by his brother, Frank (Charlotte) Tidd.
Lewis served in the Missouri National Guard during the Berlin Crisis and the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was a Junior Achievement Advisor and Banking Advisor for McDonnell-Douglas, as well as Treasurer of St. Charles Presbyterian Church and the McDonnell Photography Club. Lewis had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, especially fly fishing, photography, bird watching, traveling, and tinkering on numerous projects for himself and others. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorials may be made in Lewis 's name to in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Charles Presbyterian Church (131 Gamble St, St Charles, MO 63301).
