Leona Fae Koelling

Leona Fae Koelling, née Jones, was born on September 13, 1947, in Saint Louis. She passed away peacefully on October 1, 2025, in O'Fallon. Leona was a cherished mother, grandmother, and sister, whose spirit and warmth will be missed by all who knew her.

A devoted fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, she found joy not only in watching sports but also in discussing them with her son, Bryan, as they bonded over shared interests. Leona had a love of reading, and she spent many happy hours lost in the pages of her favorite books. Her enthusiasm for life was evident, especially in her most treasured role as a grandmother. Matthew Koelling, her grandson, held a special place in her heart, and her pride and affection for him were boundless.

Leona is survived by her beloved son, Bryan Koelling, and his wife, Wendy; her adored grandson, Matthew; and her sister, Jacki McDowell, alongside her husband Joe.

Reunited with those who predeceased her, including her father, Clyde "Jack" Jones; her mother, Leona Jones; her husband, Norman Koelling; and her two sisters, Betty Bond and Pam Jones.

Leona's legacy of love and passion for life will shine brightly in the hearts of her family and friends. Her presence in their lives was a gift that will continue to resonate through cherished memories and shared stories.
