Lena S. Lape

Lena S. Lape (nee Purdom), of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Friday, February 23, 2024, at the age of 85. Beloved wife of the late Alvie JR Lape; cherished daughter of the late Frances and Luther Clyde Purdom; devoted mother of Beverly Craig, and the late Deborah Sims; loving grandmother of Michael (Arianna) Sims, and Krista (Joel) Grubb; precious great grandmother of Olivia, Konnor, Pierce, Audrey, Alexander, Ashton, Jax, and Caia; dear sister of Virginia (Donald) Thompson, Ted (Nancy) Purdom, the late James Purdom, and the late Billy Purdom; treasured aunt, great aunt, and great-great aunt. Lena was also preceded in death by her first husband, Oliver Craig.

Lena was married to Oliver Craig from 1956 to 2005. To this union was born their daughters, Deborah, and Beverly. After Oliver's passing, Lena was married to Alvie JR Lape in 2013 until his death in 2018. Lena was blessed with two wonderful husbands. She was a devout member of the New Life Center - Bridgeton, MO, and Cornerstone Apostolic Church - Wentzville, MO. Lena was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Memorials may be made in Lena's name to the Alzheimer's Association.
