Lawrence Anthony Pailer, of St. Louis, MO, passed away Thursday, December 25, 2025, at the age of 96. Beloved husband of the late Olivia “Libby” Pailer; cherished son of the late Peter and Christine Pailer; devoted father of Teresa Kendrick and Renee (The late Tim) Henke; loving grandfather of Michelle (Michael) O'Sullivan, Bradley (Edye) Kendrick, Anthony (Jenna) Henke, Abby (Barret) Storck, Alex (Nicole) Henke, and the late Infant Kyle Henke; treasured great grandfather of Cameron Kendrick, Chase Kendrick, Shane O'Sullivan, Lauren O'Sullivan, Layla Henke, Kira Henke, Walter Henke, Milo Henke, and Connor Storck; dear uncle of Janet, Pat, Craig, Carol Ann, Doug, Edward, Kay, Donny, Jimmy, Linda, Judy, Mike, Suzanne, Gary, and the late Marie; great uncle, cousin, and friend to many. Larry was also preceded in death by his five brothers, Herman (The late Lucy) Pailer, Irving (The late Mildred) Pailer, Harry (The late Betty) Pailer, Michael (The late Dorothy) Pailer, and Peter (The late Dolores) Pailer.
Larry married his beloved Libby on March 31, 1951, and went on to live a life marked by service, friendship, and joy. He proudly and honorably served in the United States Navy and later worked in senior management in the sheet metal industry. In his free time, Larry enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and tackling projects around the house, as well as playing cards and building model airplanes and trains. A natural jokester, he loved teasing his grandchildren and making others laugh and smile. He cherished traveling, loved meeting new people, and was blessed with many friends, always willing to do anything for anyone. Larry was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorials may be made in Larry's name to Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry in Maryland Heights.
