Lawrence O. “Pete” Koelling

Koelling, Lawrence O. "Pete", of Wentzville, Missouri, died on Sunday, January 5, 2014 at the age of 76. Loving husband of Brenda Kay Koelling; beloved son of the late Lawrence E. Koelling and Viola (nee: Gravemann) Koelling; dear brother of Kathy (nee: Koelling) Teeters; devoted father of Charlene (David) Jansen, Keith (Jeanne) Koelling, Elizabeth (Don) Rogers, Mike (Amber) Patterson, Linda (Rick) Meroney, Tim (Patty) Patterson, Dan (Suzanne) Koelling, and Tiffany and Stephanie Recktenwald; cherished grandfather of Roxanne Jansen, Teresa (Adam) Jones, Brett Koelling, Erin Koelling, Emilie Koelling, Kyle Koelling, James (Bobby) Myers, Don (Maranda) Rogers, Megan Rogers, James Rogers, Josh Myers, Holli (Shane) McDonald, Amy (Kevin) Shamowski, and Vicky (Brian) Goff; treasured great-grandfather of Cody, Lucas and Kaylee Jones, Jamie, Molly and Hunter Rogers, Trevor and Kayleigh McDonald, Katie Shamowski, Timothy O. Koelling, Devin Recktenwald, and Jazsmin and Daylan Recktenwald. He is preceded in death by his brother Robert C. Koelling.
Pete is a retired employee of the City of St. Charles, a former Volunteer Fireman for 29 ½ years. He enjoyed being a past member of the American Rose Society and he was an avid Cardinal Baseball Fan.
