LaVerne “Vernie” M. Bedard

Bedard, Vernie, of St. Peters, Missouri, died on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at the age of 85. Dearest wife of the late Richard Bedard; dear daughter of the late Ed and Ellen Hampe; loving mother of Leigh (Herb) LeMoyne and Sherry (Rolla) Henry; beloved grandmother of Daniel and Tara Mandry, Sara Davis, Renee and Leanne Henry; great-grandmother of 10; great-great-grandmother of 3; dear sister of Marcie Hanselman and Ronald Hampe; dear mother-in-law of Larry Mandry. Vernie is preceded in death by her daughter, Dana Mandry, sister, Gerrie and brother, Edward. Vernie was a member of St. Louis Banjo Club, Long time TOPS, she was a hospital volunteer for over 30 years and participated in the Senior Olympics. Vernie also enjoyed golfing, bowling and traveling. The family would like to express a special thanks to the wonderful staff at St. Peters Manor and Heartland Hospice. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Operation Smiles or St. Charles Humane Society.
