Kimberly Kay Deutschmann (nee Homer), of Columbia, MO, passed away Friday, December 12, 2025, at the age of 54. Beloved wife of James "Jim" Thomas Deutschmann; devoted mother of Emily Deutschmann; cherished daughter of the late Susan J. and Donald Homer, and daughter-in-law of Patricia (the late Fred) Deutschmann; treasured niece of Ron (Dianne) Mollet; dear sister-in-law of Mary (Mark) Schumacher, John Deutschmann, and Richard Deutschmann; loving aunt and great aunt.
Kim was married to her beloved husband Jim for 28 wonderful years and together they shared a beautiful life filled with love. Kim was immensely proud of her daughter, Emily, always cheering her on as her biggest fan and supporter, and she took great pride in being active in the PTA during Emily’s elementary years. She loved nature, enjoyed surrounding herself with plants, and found joy in going on walks. Time spent with family meant everything to her, especially playing board games and cards that brought everyone together. Kind and giving by nature, Kim volunteered as a holiday bell ringer and dedicated her life to assisting families in Boone County, always following her heart with compassion and courage, bravely standing up for those she loved and those in need. Outgoing and personable, she never met a stranger and filled every room with conversation and laughter. Kim was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Memorials may be made in Kim's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
