Kent A. Stone

Kent Alan Stone, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Friday, December 8, 2023 at the age of 59. Loving husband of Linda Stone; beloved son of the late Mabel Louise and Robert Ewing Stone; dear brother of Roger Ewing (Nancy) Stone of Brownsburg, IN and Linda (Theodore) Stone Chabraja of Northbrook, IL; cherished uncle of Wm. Douglas Stone, Matthew Robert (Elizabeth) Stone, Dr. Emily Ann Stone; Christopher Michael (Jovanka) Chabraja, and Timothy Nicholas Chabraja; stepfather of Lisa Chastain and John Greenlee; step grandfather of CJ, Taylor, and Jacob Chastain.  
 
Kent was an accomplished engineer of exceptional caliber through Boeing. He held numerous distinguished titles, navigating the complexities of engineering, and leaving an undeniable mark on every project he undertook. Kent held a master's degree in manufacturing engineering through Bradley University, and two Bachelors of Industrial Technology degrees through both Northeast Missouri State University and Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. 
 
Kent, a car and aviation enthusiast, raced a '69 Camaro. He enjoyed racing with his friends and often travelled to compete in an upcoming race. Kent’s love for drumming started in grade school, growing through college bands and later flourishing in various musical groups, including Blackdog & The Rainmakers as well as those within his church, St. Charles Christian Church, where he was an elder. In his free time, Kent enjoyed cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals, Blues and Mizzou football and basketball teams. Kent will be remembered by how he enjoyed turning everyday moments into jokes with his goofball charm. His absence is deeply felt by those who knew and loved him.
