Kenneth J. Schark, Sr.

Kenneth J. Schark, Sr., of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Sunday, May 7, 2017, at the age of 79. Loving husband of the late Patricia G. Schark; beloved son of the late Erich and Anne Schark (nee: Zakrzewski); devoted father of Karen (Kevin) Londeen, Kenneth (Kim) Schark, Jr., and Erich (Lori) Schark; cherished grandfather of Rachel and Lauren Londeen, Erich, Sarah, and Matthew Schark, and Charles, John, Samuel, and William Schark. He is preceded in death by his sister Arlene (Daniel) DiCorcia.

Ken grew up in Jersey City, NJ, and received a BS in Physics from St. Peter’s University.  He proudly served in the U.S. Army Artillery Division.  He retired from Western Electric/AT&T after more than 30 years as an engineer.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and kayaking.  Ken appreciated his membership with AA, and valued his sobriety and the lessons he learned taking it One Day at a Time.  He was dearly loved, and will be missed by all who knew him.
