Kathy Schneller, a beloved matriarch and cherished community member, passed away on January 22, 2026, in St. Charles, Missouri. Born on April 30, 1943, in Saint Louis, Missouri, Kathy’s life was marked by her unwavering faith, love for her family, and commitment to helping others.
Kathy dedicated herself to her family, serving as a loving wife to her late husband, Rudy Anthony Schneller, and a devoted mother and grandmother. She was particularly noted for the joy she derived from spending time with her grandchildren, creating lasting memories filled with laughter and love. Kathy’s nurturing spirit extended to her role as a caregiver, especially after Rudy’s stroke, where she showcased her natural ability to care for those around her.
A woman of deep faith, Kathy was actively involved in Sunrise Church, where she served as a Stephen Minister and a mentor to many. Her engagement in Bible study enriched not only her life but also the lives of those she touched. Kathy was known for her lively sense of humor and playful nature, often referred to as a bit of a trickster, reminding all that joy could be found in every situation.
Kathy’s passion for gardening, particularly her love for flowers, mirrored her belief in nurturing beauty and life, whether it was in her garden or within her family. She was an inspiration, teaching her children the importance of kindness and the simple act of smiling at others to spread joy. Her legacy of love and support serves as a profound example for all who knew her.
Kathy is survived by her children Timothy (Karen) Schneller, Gregory (Ruth) Schneller; and Christy Schneller; her grandchildren, Bret Schneller, Beckie (Javier) Vega, Anne Schneller; and Mitchell (Kaity) Schneller; her great-granddaughter Josie Schneller, and her brother, Ronald "Pete" (Hope) Mitchell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudy Anthony Schneller; her brother, Robert Mitchell; and her parents, Robert and Winifred Mitchell. Kathy’s spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her. Her life was a testament to the power of love, faith, and the importance of family.
