She is preceded by Marge, Eugene (Bud), Richard, and James and her mother Geraldine Becks.

Kathy was born 28 December 1946, in St. Louis to Geraldine Becks and Joseph Becks. She grew up in South St. Louis and attended Cleveland High School before joining her Mother in her business as an apprentice hair dresser where later she owned and operated her own hair solon for many years. She met husband Oct 1966 Walt drag racing when she didn’t go with the green light. Walt had the good sense to halt the driver in the car they were riding and flowed Kathy and friends to a local all night fast food restaurant which began a long and mostly happy life in which Kathy and Walt married a year later Nov 1967.  Kathy was a strong and independent woman who was loved by a large family and friends.  She treated every one with kindness and compassion.

Painting was one of Kathy's hobbies and past times. There are many paintings which are hanging on walls around Saint Louis. She encouraged and taught others in the world of art while always continuing to take advanced painting and other art mediums herself.  Kathy was married to Walt for 55 years. They lived mostly in Saint Louis and Saint Louis County but also lived in Oklahoma City for a year before returning home and then moving again East to Hampton Roads and they lived there for 13+ years and finally moving back to St. Peters, MO. Even while battling cancer, she was a devoted wife and mother.

Services: A memorial service will be held for Kathy, at a later time and date to be determined.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association in St. Louis in the name of Kathy and son Matthew, 13801 Riverport Dr #303, Maryland Heights, MO 63043.
