Kathleen "Kathy" Ann Gianini

Kathleen “Kathy” Ann Gianini (nee Schroer), of Flint Hill, MO, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at the age of 74. Loving wife of over 54 years to Chris “Christopher” B. Gianini, CPA; beloved daughter of the late Frances and Henry Schroer; devoted mother of Laura (Thomas) Gianini-Fortin; cherished grandmother of Cora Fortin; sister-in-law of David (Linda) Gianini, Emil Gianini, and John (the late Patrice) Gianini; loving aunt, niece, cousin and friend to countless many.

Kathy was a devoted teacher, mentor, and friend whose life was defined by compassion, generosity, and a deep love for education. For over 30 years, she taught 4th grade at Francis Howell, earning recognition as Teacher of the Year and inspiring countless students with her interactive teaching style and warm spirit. A proud graduate of the University of Missouri, she held both a Bachelor's and Master's in Elementary Education and passed on her passion for education to her daughter, who currently teaches as well. Kathy retired in 2004 but never stopped making an impact—through heartfelt conversations and a listening ear, she was always ready to help someone.

Kathy was known for her selfless acts of charity to the less fortunate, helping hundreds through charitable work. In her free time, Kathy crocheted baby blankets, went swimming, and tended to her garden beds and yard. She always looked forward to her family trips to the Florida beach and traveling to see good concerts and professional tennis tournaments. Kathy’s legacy of kindness and selflessness lives on in the hearts of all who knew her—she will be deeply missed.

Memorials may be made in Kathy's name to The Crisis Nursery or Five Acres Animal Shelter.
