Kathleen “Kathy” Benigno (nee Qualls), age 74, of O’Fallon, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2022. Kathy was born on January 22, 1949, and was preceded in death by her parents, Elbert and LaVerne Qualls (nee Dreher).
Kathy leaves behind her beloved husband, Salvatore Benigno, along with her son, Ronald D. Martin (Doriana Grillo), and brother, Billy D. Qualls (Donna). Kathy’s father and brother are retired St. Louis Metropolitan Police Officers and her son, a former St. Louis Metropolitan Police Officer, is the Assistant Chief of Police for the North County Police Cooperative.
Kathy was a prominent business owner in the 1980’s of Salvatore’s Hair Salon, located in Ballwin, Missouri. After selling the business, Kathy was employed by Washington University, where she spent nearly twenty years in the Physician Billing Department.
Kathy had a passion for cooking and graced her family and friends over the years with culinary delights. Kathy’s “claim to fame,” was the way she could make an Italian Cassata Cake.
Kathy was always the life of the party and would always speak her mind. Her personality was infectious, and she will be sorely missed. Kathy was a friend to many, a loving wife, mother, sister, and aunt.
