Karen Anne Pierce

Karen Anne Pierce (nee Weston) born on April 3, 1946, East St. Louis, IL, passed on August 14, 2022, in Old Monroe, Missouri.  She is survived by her five children, Kimberly (Kevin) Lynde of Sullivan, MO, Theresa Shofner of St. Charles, MO, Lisa (Roger) Shull of O'Fallon, MO, Laurie Murdick of St. Charles, MO, and Tommie Pierce of Old Monroe, MO; her sister Audrey (the late Ray) Johnson of Sullivan, MO; Sister-in-law Diana Weston of Marthasville, MO; 13 Grandchildren; 15 Great Grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.   

Karen was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Pierce; her father, Clyde A. Weston II and mother, Audrey M Weston; her siblings, Clyde A. “Bob” Weston III, Carol R. (Brian "Corky") Taylor, John "Jack" T. (Sue) Weston; grandson, Derek Lynde; niece, Tammy Gower; great nephew, Cameron McColl and a great-great nephew, Landon Johnson. Karen was also preceded in death by her beloved dogs, Odie, Caden and Niko.  

Karen was loved by many, not only her family, but people she worked with as an LPN. She was a wonderful caregiver and worked in long term care taking care of our elderly until she retired in 2014.  

Karen was a diehard St. Louis Cardinals fan and always looked forward to watching their games on TV. She loved visiting her children who lived throughout the U.S.  In her spare time, she enjoyed playing games on her phone, especially crosswords, and reading suspense novels, which her favorite author was Tami Hoag. 

Karen was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Memorial contributions may be made in Karen's name to American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
