Judith Ann Dreisewerd (née Bishop), 81, of O’Fallon, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2026. She was born on August 25, 1945, to Egbert and Agnes Bishop.
Judith married Robert Joseph Dreisewerd, Sr., in 1968, and they shared 42 years together until his passing in 2010. The life they built was one of her proudest accomplishments, and their marriage was a lasting example of love, commitment, and partnership.
Judith was a woman of great strength and patience. Those who knew her will remember how fiercely she loved her family and how naturally generous she was. She always made sure the people around her felt comfortable, supported, and cared for.
She found joy in life’s simple pleasures. Her cookies and cakes filled her home with warmth and sweetness. She could spend countless hours browsing her favorite stores, often with her lifelong friend, Joan, by her side or waiting patiently on the nearest bench. She loved attending craft fairs with her friends and her daughter, and she cherished her girls’ trips, especially a memorable visit to New York City. She took pride in decorating her home, especially for the holidays, when it became a festive, welcoming place for family and friends. And no family gathering was complete without her macaroni and cheese, a dish so uniquely hers that it will always bring her to mind.
Above all, Judith treasured her grandchildren. She visited or called them often, staying close and reminding them of her steady love and presence in their lives.
Judith was the beloved wife of the late Robert Joseph Dreisewerd, Sr.; cherished daughter of the late Egbert and Agnes Bishop; devoted mother of Robert (Donna) Dreisewerd and Melissa (Michael) Grabenhorst; loving grandmother of Allison (Kyle) McMullen, Alex (Ally) Dreisewerd, Jacob Grabenhorst, and Justin Grabenhorst; adoring great-grandmother of Brooks McMullen and Gunnar Dreisewerd; and dear sister of the late Jeannette (the late Jerry) Pettyjohn, the late Joyce (Ed) Sullivan, and the late Don (Brenda) Bishop.
She will be remembered for her strength, her patience, her generosity, and the enduring love she gave her family and friends.
