January 27, 1936 — May 24, 2025

St. Charles

Judith "Judie" J. Dolson, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2025, at the age of 89. Known for her elegance, loyalty, and vibrant spirit, Judie lived a full and adventurous life, guided by love, patriotism, and a steadfast devotion to family.

Born in Kansas City, Missouri, to Harold and Lola (Mae) Jordan, Judie grew up in the Kansas City area, where her intellect and drive shone early. She graduated from high school a year ahead of schedule and began working full-time for AT&T. Fueled by a sense of adventure, she transferred to Southern California, settling in Coronado—the place where she acquired her love of the beach.

It was in California that Judie met the love of her life, Thomas C. Dolson Sr., then a dashing captain in the United States Marine Corps. Their whirlwind romance led to marriage in July 1962, and together they built a beautiful life rooted in military service, travel, and deep companionship. Though Judie held careers as a real estate agent and travel agent, she took the greatest joy from being a mother to her two sons, Tom Jr. and Mike. She also took great pride in being a military officer’s wife, embracing the role with grace, dedication, and unwavering support for other Military families. In retirement, Judie and Tom traveled extensively, creating lifelong memories, yet always finding joy in returning home to family.

Judie was a faithful Christian. She was an accomplished tennis player and avid card competitor and mahjong player. She was also a talented artist, and her colorful paintings fill the homes of her children and grandchildren. She had a natural eye for creating beauty, loved decorating, and was impeccably stylish.

Judie was a devoted mother and is survived by her two sons and their spouses, Tom Jr. (Racquel) and Mike (Andrea). She was a loving grandmother and is survived by Eli, Avi (Evelyn), Lauren, and Jack. She also treasured her new great-grandson, Oliver. Judie is also survived by her brother Jerry Jordan. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tom.

Judie Dolson leaves behind a legacy of love and joyful memories. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were fortunate to know her.
