Juanita I. Key (nee Combs) affectionately known as Neety of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Friday, May 30, 2025 at the age of 89. Loving wife of the late Jerry Donald Key; Beloved daughter of the late Wilhelmina Anna and Newell Combs; devoted stepmother of Kim Johnston and Jerry (Deborah) Key; cherished grandmother of Lindsey Johnston, Jerry E. Key and the late Thomas J. Key; treasured aunt of David Combs, Sandy Findeiss, Pam Barton, Nancy Cowell, Diane Combs, Bill Combs, Daniel Combs, and Tina (Steve) Farlow. Juanita was also preceded in death by her siblings, Newell (Ginny) Combs, William(Janet) Combs and Dolores (John) Oliver. She also leaves to her memory a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
Juanita was married to the love of her life, Jerry, for 28 joyful years. Together, they enjoyed traveling with the Forty & Eight, dancing, and serving in the American Legion Women's Auxiliary, where Juanita was a devoted chaplain and involved with all the events.
She was full of life—kind, generous, and always ready with a smile. Her strong faith guided her, and she shared love and kindness with everyone she met. Juanita worked for 42 years at Hussmann Refrigeration Company and loved visiting the casino. She also enjoyed collecting angels and elephants.
Juanita was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Memorials may be made in Juanita's name to AMVETS or The Wounded Warrior Project.
