Joyce Ann Miller

Joyce Ann Miller (née Bangert), of Defiance, MO, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at the age of 84. She is survived by her daughters, Pamela Bourda and Jeri (John) Keck; her son, Bret (Jean) Miller; her grandchildren, Ashlee Wright, Alyson (Brandon) Pierce, Brittany (Daniel) Waller, Zachery (Miranda) Ferguson, Chris Keck, Amie Keck, Alexis (Avery) Griggs, and Rylie Miller; and her great-grandchildren, Addyson, Austyn, Alan, Bentley, Sylas, Briella, Micah, Luke, Asher, and Aura. She is also survived by her sisters, Joan (William) Allen and Debbie (Steve) Keller, and was a cherished aunt, great-aunt, sister-in-law, and friend to many. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Allen Miller; her father, Charles C. Bangert; and her mother, Viola E. Bangert.

A devoted homemaker, Joyce took great pride in caring for her home and family. She loved gardening, fishing, bowling, spending time with her grandchildren, and had a true passion for traveling. Joyce adored animals, enjoyed hosting gatherings at her home, and had a wonderful way of making everyone feel welcome. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

The family would like to take this opportunity to say how truly grateful we are to the staff of Clarendale Memory Care and Solace Hospice. They were there during her end-of-life journey offering her love and care with unwavering support to the family.

Memorials may be made in Joyce 's name to Alzheimer's Association or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
