Joyce Anne Koester

Joyce Anne Koester (nee Laurence), of Bridgeton, MO, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2025, at the age of 74. Beloved wife of John Nicholas Koester; cherished daughter of the late Henry Joseph and Evelyn Dennison Laurence; devoted mother of Jack (Julia) Koester and Paul Koester; loving grandmother of Johnny Koester, Danny Koester, and Alison Koester; dear sister of Leslie (Pat) McCartan; many nieces and nephews. Joyce is preceded in death by her sister, Christine (Rick) Fischer.

Joyce was a talented golfer who achieved the rare distinction of scoring two separate holes-in-one during her life. She shared more than 53 years of marriage with her high school sweetheart, John. She found great joy in being creative, especially through sewing, knitting, and crocheting. Joyce was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

The family will be honoring Joyce with a Celebration of Life at a later date.
