Joyce H. Gesell

Gesell, Joyce H., of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Monday, January 30, 2012 at the age of 90. Dearest wife of the late William G. Gesell; dear daughter of the late Alfred and Helen Cook; loving mother of Linda J. (Rick) Thomas; dear mother-in-law of Jill Gesell; beloved grandmother of Danny (Allie), Duane (Ashley), Damon, Brandon (Samantha) and Jennifer (Eric); dearest great-grandmother of Nicole, Kaitlyn, Devin, Summer, Bruce and Tyler. She is preceded in death by her son, Duane A. Gesell II; brothers, Alfred R. Cook and Douglas L. Cook and sisters, Donnelle M. Tauber and Gloria J. Cook. Joyce, before her retirement, was employed as a Bench Technician at Monsanto and proudly served in the US Marine Corps. She was a member of Harvester Christian Church, loved to crochet; enjoyed crafting; needlepoint and reading. She was an excellent cook and most of all, she loved her family. Memorials may be made to Harvester Christian Church or St. Charles Humane Society.
