Joyce J. Choate

Joyce Johner Choate, of St. Charles, MO, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late Loren Choate; cherished daughter of the late Frank and Mabel Johner; devoted mother of Kenneth (Lydia) Choate, and the late Carla Sue (Ron) Kaase; loving grandmother of Rebecca (Greg) Fancher, Zachary Alan Kaase, Michelle Marie Kaase, and Hannah Lydia Choate, and loving great-grandmother of Harrison Fancher, and Imogen Fancher; dear sister of Lynn (Lowell) Ahrens, the late Sharon (Lew) Marquardt, the late Lee (David) Guttmann, the late Peggy (Jerry) Johner, the late Mern Hanes, the late Sonny Johner, and the late Chick Johner.

Joyce was an avid reader, and she also enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing cards, square dancing, and cooking and baking for her community. She cherished the friendships and connections she made through these activities and brought warmth and kindness to everyone around her. Joyce was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
