Joy Lynn Lynch (nee Thurman), of Hazelwood, MO, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at the age of 60. Cherished daughter of the late Benjamin and Alma Westenberger. Devoted mother of Sonya Becker, Jennifer Ann Lynch, and Karen Mae Marie (Steven) Lynch-Fisher; loving grandmother of Alexus Joy Thurman, Thomas Mouser, Timothy Mouser, Mason Ryan Slavens, Lilliyn Rose Slavens, and Cayden Anthony Truxall; dear sister of Jill Sweeden, Jon Thurman, Jayne Thurman, and Judith (Brian) Warren; beloved significant other, Craig Volkmann.
Joy loved animals, especially horses and cardinal birds. She also loved teddy bears. Joy loved everyone and was kind to everyone. She was very easy-going and optimistic about everything. Joy was a wonderful mother who adored her daughters and was very supportive of them. She went camping frequently with her daughters and enjoyed going to Cardinals games. Joy was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Memorials may be made in Joy's name to American Lung Association and Five Acres.
