Joy Bayer (nee Hensley), of St. Peters, MO, passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at the age of 87. Loving wife of Gary Ernst Bayer; beloved daughter of the late Samuel and Mildred Hensley; devoted mother of Doug (Dawn) Bayer, and Sherry (Paul) Sawchak; cherished grandmother of 7 and great-grandmother of 10; dear sister of Pat Steinkamp and Vickie Schmitt.
Joy was a member of All Saints Catholic Church in St. Peters, MO. She was a long-time member of Our Lady of the Lake Church in Lake Ozark, MO. She was very active and loved to travel, water ski, and play Golf and Tennis. She was proud of her Golf Championship and Hole in One at Seasons Ridge Golf Course. Joy was dearly loved by all who knew her, especially her children and grandchildren, she was a great Mom. Joy enjoyed playing card games with her family at Lake of the Ozarks and she was not a modest winner.
