Joseph Glen Serles

Joseph Glen Serles, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2024, at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Paula Jean Serles; cherished son of the late Vera and John R. Serles; devoted father of Joe (Marcia) Serles; loving grandfather of Joseph C. Serles; dear brother of Philip (Jan) Serles, and brother-in-law of Harriet Serles, Judy Whitler, Betty (Charles) Civey; precious uncle of Mark Serles, Tracy Kern, Jennifer (Kevin) Haynes, and Scott (Michelle) Serles. Joseph was preceded in death by his siblings, John (the late Joyce) Serles, and James Serles, his nephew, Jay Serles, father-in-law, Duard (the late Julia) Yeater, sister-in-law, Beverly (the late Arnold) Rodgers, and brother-in-law, Eugene Whitler.

Joseph served with pride and honor in the United States Army, showcasing his dedication to service. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 312. Beyond his military career, Joseph also had his pilot license, retiring from McDonald Douglas/ Boeing after 33 years of service. He possessed a deep passion for woodworking, crafting toys and furniture. Joseph's warm and affectionate nature endeared him to those around him, and his absence leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
