Joseph Glenn Sargent, of Hazelwood, MO, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2026, at the age of 87. Loving husband of the late Vanita LaVerne Sargent; beloved son of the late Glenn Joseph and Sybil Grace Sargent; devoted father of Joseph Glenn (Angela) Sargent, II, Lori Ann (James) Lovins, and Lisa Kay (Peter) Guiffrida; cherished grandfather of Sarah (Jasper) Sargent, Oscar Sargent, Nicholas Lovins, Alexis (Tyler) Voss, and Jeremy (Kara) Stein; treasured great-grandfather of Samuel Lovins, Elijah Lovins, Declan Voss, Felicity Voss, Conrad Voss, Jace Stein, and Lily Stein; dear brother of Leona Rosenow; brother-in-law of Arthur Williams and Ruby Blair; and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Joseph is also preceded in death by his siblings, Robert Sargent, Carl Sargent, Donald Sargent, and Norma Kissick; siblings-in-law, Lena Vogler, Lela Brewster, John Williams, and Otis Williams; parents-in-law, Arthur Williams and Pearl Williams.

Joseph proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a dedicated member of the Experimental Aircraft Association and the Boeing Retirement Band. Joe was an avid woodworker, a passion he learned from his father and carried with him throughout his life. He loved creating personalized gifts for his grandchildren, as well as building beautiful cabinets and furniture for his home. Joe also enjoyed playing golf and volunteering with the Boy Scouts, helping young scouts earn badges and giving many children their very first airplane ride through the Experimental Aircraft Association. Joseph was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made in Joseph's name to the American Red Cross.
