Joseph Haug, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Friday, June 26, 2026, at the age of 79. Loving husband of Janet Sue Haug; beloved son of the late Earl and Rita Haug; devoted father of Jeffrey (Robyn) Haug and Andrew Haug; dear brother of Mary (the late Bob) Henderson, Matthew (Fran) Haug, Greg (Cathy) Haug, Paul (Mary) Haug, and Barbara (Tim) Buchanan; cherished grandfather of Meghan Haug, and Benjamin Haug; and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Joseph is also preceded in death by his sister, Cathy (Bill) Miller.
Joseph proudly served his country in the United States Army and was honored with the Bronze Star for his service. A dedicated member of St. Peter Parish in St. Charles, he generously volunteered with the St. Vincent de Paul Society and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Joe devoted more than 40 years to St. Dominic High School as a beloved math teacher, inspiring over 4,000 students throughout his career. In addition to teaching, he served as athletic director, founded and coached the school's track and cross-country teams, and tutored students at St. Theodore Grade School. Joe had a lifelong love of sports, especially golf, which he enjoyed playing with many dear friends. Joseph was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Joseph's name to St. Vincent de Paul at St. Peter Parish or Michael J. Fox Foundation.
