Joseph “Joe” Daniel Gracz, of Wentzville, MO, was called home on Easter Sunday, March 31st, 2024, at the age of 58. Loving husband of Mary F. Gracz; devoted father of Matthew (Jessie) Ripplinger, Breanna (David) Forseth and Jacob Gracz; cherished grandpa / papa of Callie Rooney, Joshua “JJ” Ripplinger, Jaxon Ripplinger, Carter Ripplinger, Mason Ripplinger, Caleb Forseth, Noelle Forseth and Isaac Forseth; dear brother of Judy (Dave) Smith, Michael (Mary Jo) Gracz, Sue Wittbrot, Steven (Dawn) Gracz, Mary (Steven) Kroening and Peggy (Curt) Dorn. Awaiting his arrival into paradise include Joe’s parents Daniel and Alice Gracz and son Joshua “Josh” Ripplinger. What a beautiful reunion it must have been!
Anyone who has known Joe, knows he loves Jesus. He’s always been passionate about sharing his faith with others and would want his family and friends to celebrate his promotion to heaven. Joe’s love for his family has had no limits. “Jesus Loving, Family Man'' would best describe Joe to someone who never was lucky enough to meet him. His favorite moments were either spent studying God’s word or making memories with his children, grandchildren and wife; who he’d be the first to tell anyone, is his very best friend.
Outside of Joe’s love for Jesus and his family, he’d openly admit to his appreciation for some good food, some well worn sweatpants, a comfy couch and his big screen television with the latest sports game playing. Anything Wisconsin or Missouri sports would do, but he’d tell you football season and college sports would be first pick! His competitive side would also come out during his weightlifting, family board game nights or when trying to beat his wife on a crossword puzzle answer. Joe’s laugh is one you’d never forget, especially when he was winning.
Family and friends would joke calling Joe a “Walking Encyclopedia;” more often than not, the smartest man in the room. Joe excelled in his career in Information Technology and had recently been elected to the Board of Directors at Lindenwood University in Saint Charles, MO where he had once served as an IT Security Consultant.
Joe’s legacy will live on by those who have loved him dearly, of that there is no doubt.
“And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me so that you also may be here I am.” ~ John 14:3
The family asks that memorials be made in Joe’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the Stroke Awareness Foundation.
