Jon Paar, 56, of Saint Peters, Mo, passed away on the morning of Saturday April 9th, 2022, at his home in Saint Peters, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 8th 1965 in Cape Girardeau, Mo to Buss Paar, and Dorothy Seabaugh Paar.
Jon and Kathy Simmons were married on October 15th 1988 at St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau, Mo. He was a 1983 graduate of University High School and attended Southeast Missouri State University. He was a proud member of IBEW Local 1 in Saint Louis, Mo for 35 years, where he worked as a journeyman wireman. He was also a loving and devoted husband and father.
Jon is survived by his wife Kathy Paar of Saint Peters, Mo, his two daughters Kara Paar of Creve Coeur, Mo and Erika Paar of Saint Peters, his brother Steve (Karen) Paar of Festus, Mo, and his sister Lynn Dee (Todd) Thomas of Nashville, Tn. He is preceded in death by his parents.
A private memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
