John Wesley Smith, Sr.

John Wesley Smith, Sr., of Saint Charles, Missouri, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2019, at the age of 86. Beloved husband of the late Rebecca Sue Smith; cherished son of the late Lloyd T. and Tylene Smith; devoted father of Rebecca Louise (Dale) Quesenberry, John W. (Lynette) Smith, Jr., Wilma A. (Rick) Hammond, and Rhonda S. Golden; loving grandfather of sixteen; treasured great-grandfather of twenty-nine and great-great-grandfather of two; dear brother of six siblings.

John is also preceded in death by his son, Dennis W. Smith, two great-great-grandchildren, and three siblings.

John proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was also a Mason. John loved to fish, farm, and raise cattle, but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren, and assisting his children. John was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
