John Alfred Tillott III, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Monday, February 16, 2026, at the age of 79. Beloved husband of Helen K. Tillott; cherished son of the late Robert and Ruth Tillott; devoted father of Jason Tillott and John Tillott, IV; loving grandfather of Becca (Remington) Tillott Winterburg, Rachael (Anatole) Tillott Figueroa, Ashley Tillott and Mason Tillott; great-grandfather of Persephone Figueroa; uncle of Angie (Luke) Clark, Chris Evans, Tricia (Jon) Sonntag, and Frank (Stephanie) Dalton; great-uncle of Estelle, Will, Isabelle, Theo, Josie, Samantha, James, Chris, and Jacob; brother-in-law of Bob (Barb) Williams and Linda (Dave) Dalton. John is preceded in death by his grandparents, Homer and Clarissa Richardson, his brother, Edwin Tillott, and his sister, Kathy Sharp.
John was born on a farm, where he learned the value of hard work, faith, and a deep appreciation for the land that would stay with him throughout his life. He went on to serve his community through his work with the Missouri Department of Conservation, dedicating himself to preserving the natural beauty he so dearly loved. John was a devout member of First Baptist Church of St. Charles. He found great joy in woodworking, gardening, and simply enjoying the outdoors. John embraced the simple blessings of life. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family, who were the center of his world and his greatest pride. John was dearly loved and will be deeply and forever missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in John's name to the Alzheimer's Association.
