John Joseph Schimweg, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at the age of 91. Beloved husband of the late Vivian Schimweg; cherished son of the late Loretta and Henry Schimweg; devoted father of John (Michelle) Schimweg, Christopher (Deborah) Schimweg, Pamela (Daniel) Osthoff, Regina (Waymond) Beach, the late Tanya Schimweg, and the late Linda Harris; loving grandfather of 9, great grandfather of 12 plus one on the way, and great-great grandfather of 3; dear brother of 4 brother who also preceded him in death, Henry Schimweg, Vincent Schimweg, Donald Schimweg, and Robert Schimweg; treasured uncle, cousin, and friend.
John proudly and honorably served in the United States Army during the Korean War era and went on to live a remarkable life marked by dedication, innovation, and love for his family. A triathlete well into his 70s, he maintained an active lifestyle for decades. As an inventor, he held eight patents and enjoyed a long and successful career with Sunnen Products Company, where he worked for over 50 years before retiring at the age of 81. Affectionately known as “Grandpa Jack,” he cherished his grandchildren and great-grandchildren deeply. John was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
