John J. Kottmann

February 7, 1945 — April 15, 2011

Kottmann, John Joseph, of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 15, 2011 at the age of 66. Loving husband of the late Rona Kottmann; dear son of the late Theodore and Mildred Kottman; devoted father of Kelly (Adam) Eaton and Kasey Kottmann; cherished grandfather of Arwen Eaton; and dear brother of Joyce (late Leroy) Brannan, Jean (Daniel) Broeker, and the late Theodore “Sam” Kottmann. He was also loved and cherished by many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends and will be sorely missed. Mr. Kottmann worked all facets of business at HC Osiek Auto Paint Supply for 45 years. After many years of hard and dedicated work, he proudly retired as the President and co-owner of the company. Mr. Kottmann was also a longtime member of the Board of Properties at Immanuel Lutheran Church and of the St. Charles County Raccoon Hunters Association. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching Cardinals’ games, coaching and playing softball and coaching the boys’ basketball team at Immanuel Lutheran School. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran School, Immanuel Lutheran Church Debt Reduction, or American Lung Association.
