John "Jack" Gierten

John “Jack” Gierten of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2023, at the age of 94. Beloved husband of the late Virginia E. Gierten; cherished son of the late John M. and Mary H. Gierten. Devoted father of Mike Gierten, Sue (Jim Nolting) Pratt, and John (Jill) Gierten; loving grandfather of Randy (Shannon), Grant, Hannah, and Emily; treasured great-grandfather of Ryan, Raelynn, and Liylah. He was preceded in death by his dear grandson, Corey.

Jack proudly served in the Korean War. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #34 A.F. & A.M. and a member of St. Barnabas the Apostle Catholic Church. Jack loved the outdoors, riding motorcycles, working on cars, and hunting. He also enjoyed playing in golf leagues in earlier years. He and Virginia enjoyed camping in their RV for many years. Jack worked on various projects while part of McDonnell Douglas, and he even has a model of every airplane on which he worked. Jack was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made in Jack's name to Delta Gamma or 22 Til Valhalla Project.
