John Driscoll Phelps

Phelps, John Driscoll, of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at the age of 77. Loving husband of Nancy J. Phelps (nee: Ayo); beloved son of the late Harold and Margaret Phelps; devoted father of Barbara (Joel) Waymire, Keith (Stephanie) Phelps, and Sharon Phelps; cherished grandfather of Amy (Cameron) Imming, Justin (Brandy) Phelps, Joshua (Rebecca) Waymire, and Nicholas (Michelle) Waymire; treasured great-grandfather of Rhegan Imming, Conley Imming, and Samantha Phelps; dear brother of Richard (Brigette) Phelps; loving uncle, cousin, and friend to many.
John retired from McDonnell Douglas after 35 years as a Liason Engineer. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing, making stained glass, photography, working in the yard, and woodworking; he was an all-around great handyman. He loved coaching softball for his kids, and the women's league at Ebenezer Lutheran Church. He was a man who would do anything for anyone who asked him. John's true love in life was his family, and they cherished him deeply. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
