John Staughton Bright, Jr.

John Staughton Bright, Jr., of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away Friday, August 5, 2022, at the age of 85. Loving husband of the late Marylin V. Bright; beloved son of the late Mary E. and John S. Bright, Sr.; devoted father of John S. (Diane) Bright, III, Vincent G. Bright, and Linda M. (Donald) McFadden; cherished grandfather of Amanda (Andrew Moore) Bright, Joshua Bright, Jacob Bright, Olivia West (Joseph Giacoletto), Tristan West, and Sara McFadden; dear brother of Mary Ann (the late Nick) Kube and the late Barbara (Neil) Day. 

John honorably served in the United States Army. He retired after more than 34 years as an Expert Tech for McDonnell Douglas. Upon retirement, John loved traveling and exploring the U.S. with his wife, and made Florida their snow-birding destination.  They were “River Rats” and always looked forward to boating and hanging out with friends on the river.  He enjoyed golfing and fishing as well.   

John was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Memorial contributions may be made in John's name to American Veterans.
