John A. “Jack” Shaughnessy

March 28, 1946 — December 1, 2021

John A. “Jack” Shaughnessy, of Maryland Heights, MO, passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at the age of 75. Beloved husband of first wife, the late Gwen Shaughnessy and second wife, the late Judy Shaughnessy; cherished son of Glen and the late Toby Edwards. Devoted father of Kim Shaughnessy, Connie (Chris) McNerney, Sean (Julie) King, Kelly (Donnie) O'Dell, and Hollie (Royce) Lauer; loving grandfather of Nicolas Oyarzabal, Dalton Lauer, Tylyn  (Jake) Micks, Joey (Eric) Murphy, Dakota (Michelle) Mohorc, Nathan Schweiger, Dillon (Jada) Lauer, Abby Murphy, Olivia King, and Alexa Lauer; treasured great-grandfather of Ever Oyarzabal, Sage Micks, and Zen Oyarzabal; dear brother of Mark (Lynn) Shaughnessy, Tom  (Pam) Shaughnessy, and the late Timothy Shaughnessy; beloved brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend to many.

Jack proudly served in the United States Army. He was a member of Teamsters Local # 610 and The Untouchables of Ritenour High School. Jack retired from Cee Kay Supply after 47 years of dedicated service and meeting lifelong friends. He was a stellar athlete and played baseball, football, and softball. Jack was also an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing hunting and gardening. He was always listening to the oldies but goodies music and watching Turner Classic movies. His greatest enjoyment was his family. Jack was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made in Jack's name to Colorectal Cancer.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date in January.
