JoEtta Greer Drake

JoEtta Greer Drake (nee Stephens), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Sunday, May 16, 2021 at the age of 76. Beloved wife of Donald E. Drake; cherished daughter of the late Vernon Portner and Maxine Stephens. Devoted mother of Julia (Kevin) Brophy, Jerremy (Dannielle) Strassner, Jessica (Michael) McMullen, Stepmother to David (Robyn) Drake, and Karen (Jeff) Parker; loving grandmother, great- grandmother, aunt, and friend; dear sister of Kathy (Ed) Geiger, Robert Poertner, Mark (Pam) Poertner, Patti (Dwight) Mater, and the late Marta Baier.

JoEtta was very involved in church and volunteered at The Waldorf School of St. Louis and the Vineyard Community Church. She graduated from St. Luke’s nursing school in 1965. JoEtta loved gardening, reading, and antiquing. JoEtta also enjoyed crafts, was a heck of a cook, and traveling, especially Maine and the Gulf Coast. Most of all, she loved taking care of grandbabies and spending time with her family. JoEtta was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
