Joe Ray Moore

Joe Ray Moore, 90, of St. Peters, Missouri, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday January 17, 2024.

Joe was born on December 31, 1933 to Raymond and Monia Moore in St. Louis, Missouri. After Joe graduated from St. Louis High in 1950, he went on to join the Navy and Marines as a medical corpsman.

After his time in the Navy and Marines, he worked at Kroger as a manager for 35 years; then he went on to work as a manager for Mansion House Parking Garage until he retired at age 75.

In 1957, Joe married Bonita Joyce Huddleston. Joe and Bonita went on to have four children, three daughters and one son, Kathy, Kim, Timothy, and Barbara.

After Joe retired, he loved to spend his time with his family, his dog, and working around his farm, Little Creek Ranch. His farm offered him a place to relax and provided him with peace. Joe loved God, his family, and the country. He enjoyed the fresh air and the great outdoors fishing and hunting. It gave him joy to feed and watch the birds and squirrels in his front yard. Joe also loved spending time with his best four-legged friend and companion, Bandit, his dog. He shared many wonderful memories with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He lead his family with a steadiness and strength. Even though he was a man of few words, he cared deeply for his family, and supported and loved them throughout his life.

Joe was predeceased by his father, Raymond Jasper Moore; his mother, Goldie Monia Moore (Wilkerson); and his stepmother, Eula Marie Moore (Boggs). He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Bonita Joyce Moore (Huddleston); his daughters and son, Kathy, Kim, Timothy, and Barbara; and his nine grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
