JoAnn Housewright passed away on Sunday, June 5, in O’Fallon, MO at the age of 90. JoAnn was born Dec. 6, 1931, in Moberly, MO to Gerald and Josephine (Bradley) McCraw who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her first and second husbands, Loren Young and Jim Housewright and a son, Brian Young.
JoAnn is survived by one son, Brad (Mary) Young of O’Fallon, MO and three grandsons, Jay (Silvia) Young of O’Fallon, MO, Brad (Tara) Young of Lexington, MO and Paul (Jillian) Young of Wentzville, MO. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren, Elena, Matteo, Genevieve and George Young.
JoAnn received her nursing degree from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. She worked many years as an LPN and RN at Carbondale Memorial Hospital, Jackson County Nursing Home and Carbondale Urinary Clinic, all in Illinois.
Visitation will be held privately at Baue Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Murphysboro, IL at a later date.
