Joan Dickerson

Joan Dickerson (nee Meister), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2024 at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late Troy Dickerson; cherished daughter of the late John and Alma Meister; devoted mother of Ruth Woodworth and Claudia (Rich) Pohrer; loving grandmother of Ryan (Bridget) Woodworth, Christina (Keven) Sheehy and Richie Pohrer; treasured great-grandmother of Andi Woodworth, Troy Woodworth and Loreli Sheehy; Joan is also proceeded in death by her dear friend, Walt Kroeger, who gave her a second chance at life after the loss of Troy. 

Joan was a proud charter member of Good Shepherd UCC, she was known by her loved ones as “The Church Lady” because of her devotion to the church and Christ.  

Joan grew up in Fults, IL, where she met her dear husband Troy. They married in 1949 and moved to St. Charles in the 1950s. In her free time, she enjoyed quilting, sewing and embroidery. Joan loved ice cream, camping and traveling; but most of all, she adored her family and devoted her life to them. Joan was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
