Joan M. Cole

Joan M. Cole (nee Jennings), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Monday, April 6, 2026, at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late Charles W. Cole; cherished daughter of the late John and Gertrude Jennings; devoted mother of Richard Boatwright, Kathy (Tom) Stengel, and James (Arianne) Cole; loving grandmother of 8 and great-grandmother of 7. Joan is preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Niederschulte, her two sisters, Juanita Currier and Doris Spurgeon, and her brother, John Jennings.

Joan was a deeply devoted woman who loved her family above all else, especially cherishing every moment spent with her family. A woman of strong faith, she found great joy in attending church and reading her Bible. Joan had a special gift in the kitchen, known for her delicious homemade cookies and bread, and she delighted in preparing thoughtful treats for those she loved. Her homemade chocolate chip cookies, lovingly baked and presented in a special tin, became a treasured family tradition. She also enjoyed quiet moments spent reading and sewing, pursuits that reflected her gentle and caring spirit. Joan was dearly loved and will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
