PNCM(Ret) Jerry Harold Reid went to be with Jesus on 11 December 2024.
Jerry was 85 years old. He was born in St Louis on March 18, 1939.
Jerry was a graduate of Fairview High School in Jennings, MO and Tarkio College, in Tarkio, MO.
He currently attended Morning Star Church in Dardenne Prairie, MO
Jerry proudly retired as Command Master Chief Naval Reserve Recruiting Command DET TWO in November 1992, after his original enlistment in the Navy in May 1957.
He had been stationed onboard the USS Saratoga & at the Reserve Center in St Louis, MO, the Naval Air Station, REDCOM 18, in Olathe, KS and Recruiting Command DET TWO in Great Lakes, IL.
Jerry so enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking. He Loved his 25 years of retirement in the home he designed on 88 acres in Bland, MO. He always thought he was a 'country boy'.
Jerry and his wife, Leona (Lee) were married for 38 years and he always called her "the love of his life". They shared their home, in St Peters, MO with their "full of it" dog, Coco Chanel (and previously with their pups Lizzy & Cora).
Jerry was preceded in death by his Parents Harold & Irene (Montgomery) Reid and two brothers, Donald G Reid and Frank D Reid.
Jerry's family meant the world to him, his children: Kevin Reid (Mona Fredericks), Michele Gibbs & Kelly Misuraca. Grandchildren: Amanda Gibbs, Sarah Gibbs, Hannah Gibbs, Joseph Gibbs & Callie Sass, Nicole Carron (Ryan) & Nicholas Misuraca, Great Grandchildren: Kate & Gabe McNeely, Kollyns Carron & Palmer Gibbs. He will be missed as a great big-brother to Barbara (Denis) Feld and as a wonderful uncle, friend, mentor, role model & shipmate to many, but mostly as a loving husband, father & grandpa.

We are comforted by knowing Jerry is now sharing some Great dry red wine in Heaven with previous buddies, friends & family.
