Jerome “Jerry” A. Daues

Daues, Jerome “Jerry” A., O’Fallon, MO, died on Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at the age of 84. Precious husband of 61 years to Lois Daues; beloved son of Gregory and Rose Daues; wonderful father to Jerry Daues; dear brother of Joan Hesse and James Daues; and cherished uncle and friend to many. He is preceded in death by his siblings Thrasella McNulty and Gregory Daues.




Jerry was a graduate of St. Louis University High School and Parks Air College. He attained multiple aircraft pilot licenses and ratings, including a commercial pilot license. Most of all he enjoyed flying a J3 Cub out of St. Charles Airport. Jerry worked for American Airlines as an aircraft and engine mechanic for 47 years.




Jerry excelled as an athlete in numerous sports and activities including baseball, football, basketball, soccer, golf, speed skating, and dancing. He was also an artist, fisherman, and hunter. Jerry was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team throughout his life, and attended many home games with his family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
